How You Can Help

VOLUNTEER
We welcome new volunteers to join our fun and dedicated group. There are many different things that you can help with—many do not take up much time. You can do what your schedule permits and focus on the areas that interest you the most.

Some examples include: Calling potential adopters to review applications, conducting home visits, evaluating a dog, helping with dog transport, fundraising, communications, events and more. Just a few hours can mean all the difference! Volunteer information.

FOSTER
We are ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES. To foster, you must officially be a volunteer for GSP Rescue of NJ, though you are not obligated to volunteer in any other capacity.

Foster homes have saved many GSPs over the years and are a critical part of our success as a rescue group. A foster home provides a loving and stable environment for a dog to live until he or she is adopted.

We are often forced to board the dogs due to the lack of foster homes. This is a tremendous financial burden on our rescue, not to mention the stress it causes for the dogs. Boarding the dogs depletes our funds very quickly and the lack of funds will impact our ability to save needy GSPs in the future. Foster information.

DONATE
We depend a lot on donations from supporters. As an all volunteer non-profit, monies donated go directly to the care and vetting of the dogs in our program. (We do not have an office, shelter or paid staffed to support.)

We also accept dogs supplies and periodically seek products, services and sponsorship for raffles and other events we hold. Donation information.

SHOP Online at Sites that Support Us
There are many sites that donate a percentage of sales to our group. This does not cost you any additional money!! By shopping at these great sites, you are donating money to rescue without leaving home or writing a check! Stores information.
